GOOD TO KNOW

Booking your Ethiopia Kenya trip

Practical answers about visas, health prep, and what happens after you book.

What travel documents do I need for Ethiopia and Kenya?

You'll need a valid passport with at least six months left and blank pages. Ethiopia and Kenya both use e-visas, and we'll send you the official application links after you book.

Do I need any vaccinations for this trip?

Yes, yellow fever vaccination is required for entry into both countries. Malaria medication is recommended for the Masai Mara. We'll share a full checklist after you reserve your spot.

How does the booking process work with Fat Tours?

Send us your preferred date and group size through the form, and Vlad will follow up within a day. We confirm availability, then send you a detailed trip pack with everything you need to prepare.

What's the fitness level needed for this expedition?

The Erta Ale volcano hike is the most physical part, a few hours of moderate walking. The rest is comfortable vehicle travel and safari game drives. No special training required.

Is the group size really limited to 10 people?

Yes, we cap the group at 10. It keeps the experience personal and makes it easier to move through border crossings and into safari vehicles without long waits.

What happens if the departure date doesn't work for me?

We get it, plans shift. Contact us early enough and we can help you move to a future departure or discuss a custom private tour option for your group.
